Have you seen the news recently?

Research by The Trussell Trust, Britain’s largest food bank network, found 1 in 5 people referred to its food bank centres in the summer were from households where someone worked, and that 145,000 families had used its food banks for the first time in recent months – an increase of 40%.

This winter is expected to be the hardest yet for food banks and the people they support, with many struggling to afford the essentials as a result of the cost of living increases, largely a result of rising food and energy prices. With the reliance on food banks increasing and economic challenges getting tougher, it is now more important than ever to make sure we are supporting those who are struggling to do something as basic as eat a meal.

As a team, we have been making donations to The Trussel Trust, who work hard to support a nationwide network of food banks and provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.
