Justice Industry – New Government Owned Company Launch

Supported the mobilisation of a multi-million pound start-up Government company which saw the transfer of approximately 1000 staff

How we helped...

After the collapse of Carillion in 2018, a Public Sector Body was forced to create a new government-owned facilities management company. The new company took over the delivery of the prison facilities management services across prison establishments, providing essential services such as cleaning, reactive maintenance, landscaping and planned building repair works.

CI Projects were commissioned to support the transition of services. Around 1,000 staff, including contractors who were previously employed by Carillion, needed to be moved across to the new company. The government was clear that its priority was to ensure the smooth running of public services.

Our team of specialists were embedded into the organisation to support with an array of transition and transformation activities, including the development of a new Target Operating Model, establishing new business processes across HR and Operational services and mobilising new IT infrastructure.
With our preparation and support for this project the transition was completed and the mandate that there was to be no disruption to prison maintenance was fulfilled.
