Bringing you closer to why we made this podcast, why now and why I feel these conversations need to be heard.

Lessons Not Yet Learnt is the podcast that uncovers the costly mistakes businesses keep making, and how to finally move past them.

Through storytelling, candid conversations and expert perspectives, I’m on a mission to challenge outdated thinking, bring those overlooked lessons to the surface, and drive meaningful change- one story at a time.

From our CEO & Founder, and new podcast host, Kiran Kachela.

Community,

I’ve spent my career witnessing the same costly mistakes unfold in business. Now, I’m on a mission to challenge outdated thinking, bring those overlooked lessons to the surface, and drive meaningful change – one story at a time.

For decades, I’ve been in the trenches of business improvement and transformation, working with incredible organisations from the public sector to leading private corporations. I’ve had the privilege of helping them become more efficient and effective. But over time, I began to see something that truly troubled me: the same costly mistakes were being made over and over again, regardless of the industry.

I saw valuable resources being wasted, brilliant people trapped in broken processes, and leaders missing the opportunity to drive meaningful change. I realised that while many people were talking about improvement, the most critical lessons were still being overlooked.

This became my motivation and led me to found CI Projects in 2012.

My team and I have been on a mission to do more than just consult. We work side-by-side with our clients to drive a true convergence of people, processes, and technology, stripping out inefficiency and empowering them to proactively drive continuous improvement. We provide the tools and confidence to create lasting change, a passion I have dedicated my career to.

This podcast, Lessons Not Yet Learnt, is a natural extension of that mission. It’s my way of scaling the insights and stories I’ve gathered in the field. This isn’t about theory; it’s about real, honest conversations that uncover the costly mistakes businesses keep making and the truth about how to finally move past them.

If I can help leaders and organisations avoid these mistakes, I can help them unlock their full potential. And if I can do that, we start to move forward and lead with purpose and clarity, building a legacy that makes a difference.

Imagine a world where businesses and governments truly did good, by people, by future generations, and by the planet. That world is possible when organisations operate at their full potential and are led with a clear sense of purpose. When they do the right thing, their influence is limitless.

My work’s sole purpose is to inspire and ignite change, helping organisations move past obstacles, drive improvement, and lead with the purpose and clarity needed to make a real difference.

 Why this Podcast?

  • Learn from the past: We expose recurring mistakes across industries and uncover what it takes to correct them.
  • Cross-industry insights: Lessons from multiple sectors provide a broader perspective on business and life.
  • Actionable takeaways: Each episode delivers a practical “CI Fix” (CI = Continuous Improvement) that leaders can implement immediately.
  • Real-world stories: Honest conversations about what works, what doesn’t, and what enterprises—and individuals—need to do differently.
  • The interplay of people, processes & technology: Exploring how these factors shape business outcomes and personal growth.

What makes our Lessons Not Yet Learnt Podcast unique?

  • Built around the lessons we avoid: While many podcasts focus on frameworks or success stories, this one tackles the tough stuff — the missed opportunities, repeated mistakes, and overlooked truths that cost businesses time, money, and momentum.
  • Stories before systems: At its heart, Lessons Not Yet Learnt is a storytelling podcast. Every episode is built around a lived experience — not what’s written in textbooks.
The convergence of people, processes & technology: Unlike others that silo these elements, this podcast focuses on the interplay between them — showing how success (and failure) emerges when these forces either align or collide.
  • Cross-industry, real-world insight: Drawing from CI Projects’ work across sectors, the podcast shares lessons that are both universal and nuanced, helping leaders rethink their approach regardless of industry.
  • Personal meets professional: We don’t just talk strategy. We explore leadership decisions, team dynamics, culture, and behaviour — because business is always personal.

If you’re a leader, decision-maker, or changemaker, I hope this podcast feels like a space where you’re seen, supported, and challenged to think differently.

The first episode drops this month.
