Negative media attention regarding the condition of Ministry of Defence (MoD) sites in South-East England necessitated a swift and effective response. We were appointed to programme manage a six-month ‘turn-around’ transformation programme. Our first step was to create a comprehensive programme plan outlining activities that charted the course for improvement.

We worked closely with subject matter experts and departmental leads to drive improvements in the following areas:

  • Target Operating Model (TOM) development: We led development of a new, optimised model for efficient site management and service delivery.
  • Process improvement: Implemented standardised and streamlined processes across all MoD sites in the region.
  • Supply Chain optimisation: Established a robust and efficient supply chain infrastructure, working closely with the Supply Chain team.
  • Organisational restructuring: We led efforts to align the workforce with the new operating model through performance-based measures and strategic recruitment, working closely with HR.
